PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti ? Haiti's president says there is still much to do for the country to recover from the 2010 earthquake and he concedes that he has made mistakes since taking office last May.
Michel Martelly made the comments Monday as he presented his government plan before parliament just three days before the second anniversary of the devastating quake.
The first-time politician says he hopes to work better with all government branches. Martelly's first months in office were marred by squabbling with opposition lawmakers that further hobbled struggling reconstruction efforts.
Haiti was struck with a 7-magnitude earthquake on Jan. 12, 2010, that authorities say killed more than 300,000 people and toppled almost as many buildings.
